The First Missionary Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas faced a difficult choice in deciding how to move forward after the tragedy of having their church building burn down.  The church decided to forge ahead with the construction project without hiring a Design/Build firm or a general contractor to assist them.  They purchased a preengineered metal building from a well known supplier that ultimately proved to not be able to meet their needs.  They came to Century to see what, if anything, could be done to help provide them with the ability to rebuild their new facility while remaining within their budget.  Century proposed that First Missionary Baptist Church utilize our Construction Management delivery method to get this project completed .  Century's construction management process allows the church to meet their budgetary needs while having more control over the process, and at the same time, allows the church to utilize our many years of experience as we walk with them every step of the way.  The first step we took was to examine their existing metal building quote, and found that we could utilize our local metal building manufacturer and help them realize considerable savings.   The church elected to use this savings towards other phases of the project because they were in control.  In addition, we were able to help the church locate a qualified metal building erector that was able to provide the same scope of work for less money which further freed up additional funds for the rest of the project. 

Century is excited as we get underway on First Missionary Baptist Church's new 6,385 SF sanctuary which will seat 242 people.  Their new building will also have classroom space, and have a new fellowship hall.  Century is excited to see this project move forward, and we are glad that the Century process has helped First Missionary Baptist Church make their vision a reality.
